What is your approach or style?
Our photos have often been described as light filled, natural, whimsical, dramatic, painterly, colorful and bright. As a fine art, analog film photographer, we consider ourselves to be visual story tellers and photographic artists, weaving between a journalistic, documentary and artful editorial approach.
For weddings and portraits our goal is for you to relive your wedding or portrait session in amazement, remembering the defining moments and natural magic captured in your photos. We photograph unobtrusively during all major milestones, as in your bridal dressing, ceremony, toasts, and dances, as well as capturing candids of you and your guests, including details and portraits throughout the day. At other times, when appropriate, with some artful purpose and direction, we will create extraordinary photos, carefully selecting the light, place, and time of day, while suggesting poses that will allow you to settle into the scene, be yourselves, and look your best, so that we can create magic together! In the end, you will relive your day with photos that are TRUE and extraordinarily you.
What’s included in your coverage?
Please refer to our list of services and details provided for each wedding and portrait for more specifics.
Typically, for weddings, we suggest and include a minimum 6-10 hours of coverage, (3-5 hours per elopements) more for destinations and weekend weddings, for covering bridal preparations, bridal party, bride and groom photos, ceremony, cocktail, reception, dance party, and any send off. Plus 1-2 hours for engagement photos, 3-4 hours for each for any pre wedding welcome and or rehearsal for post wedding events. Ultimately, we want to capture the entire experience, from proposal engagement to the wedding weekend and more for any destination wedding events. We will meet prior and provide you with a wedding preparations photo detail, provide referrals, help create a photo timeline and shot list and join you and your vendor teams for any venue site visits to help you plan for all the photos. For portrait sessions we suggest a base of at least 1 - 2 hours and will provide you with pre shoot assistance and suggestions for best time of day, location, styling, wardrobe and any referrals needed for our shoot. Do you offer an assistant or second photographer?
Yes! We primarily shoot weddings with an assistant and many with a second photographer, too. This allows us to fully, and simultaneously, capture the day, and also affords us more creative freedom to make those extraordinary artful images, while not missing any important moments or details.
How many photos are delivered?
We carefully naturally edit from our original film and digital captures to tell your complete, true, and beautiful wedding or portrait session story! Our client wedding galleries, delivered, typically hold from 400 - 800 images, depending on the nature and scope of the wedding day. For our portrait galleries, delivered, typically hold 25 - 100 images, depending on the nature and scope of the portrait session.
Do you offer prints, books, albums and digital files?
Yes! We are a big believer in preservation and printing your photos! We offer and or include both print credits and custom fine art prints and custom fine art albums to help you toward your dream keepsake prints or albums. We always provide include high resolution personal digital proof files and also offer and or include our crystal usb drive for safe keeping your copies and digital files.
How soon will we see our wedding or portrait photos?
You will see your photos soon after following the wedding or portrait session. Within just a few days, we will provide you with a preview album of “sneak peek” photo(s) to delight you! Following this, for weddings, while you are busy honeymooning, we will begin editing the wedding photos, and may share more photos via our blog and/or social media channels. Finally, for weddings we aim to deliver your completed final client gallery, and of all the wedding photos, within 6 - 12 weeks from the wedding day, including if applicaple, your preview album design, as well as any products, prints and our custom USB thumb drive, of your digital proof files, included in the wedding collection. For portraits we aim to deliver your photos within 1 - 2 weeks from the session date, including your client gallery, and any products included in the portrait collection.
Do you offer Video?
We are happy to help you secure video coverage with our network of trusted partners and videographers. Please inquire within for more details.
How do we hire you?
Simple! Just CONTACT us today, so that we can set a time and place to meet and discuss your desired wedding and or portrait photos. An initial phone call of 35 minutes is usually sufficient to begin. For weddings, we may need more time to discuss, and to meet virtually via Zoom or in person. Meanwhile, we are happy to provide you with more information, and would love to learn more about you and your interest in our photography services so that we can provide you with our custom tailored proposal. Once confirmed and booked with signed agreement and initial payment, we’ll will begin planning together for your desired photography.
